Description
Data Entry Clerk
We are seeking a detail-oriented, efficient, and reliable Data Entry Clerk to join our Logistics Department. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate, up-to-date tracking information, inputting shipping/receiving data into our inventory management systems, and processing supply chain documentation.
Input inbound and outbound shipment details, bills of lading, freight invoices, and manifest data into the logistics management system (ERP/WMS).
Review, verify, and process critical shipping paperwork (including Delivery Orders, Ocean Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, and Packing Lists) to ensure regulatory and company compliance.
Update and maintain real-time tracking logs for shipments, monitoring vessel statuses across various steamship lines and coordinate container availability at regional ports.
Cross-reference incoming shipping data against physical records or purchase orders; flag and report shortages, damages, or custom holds to the logistics coordinator immediately.
Assist warehouse and logistics teams with routine reports, labels generation, and digital filing.
Qualifications & Requirements
Proven experience as a data entry clerk or in an administrative role within warehousing, freight forwarding, ocean import/export, or logistics.
Foundational understanding of maritime shipping logistics, including terminal/port operations and major steamship lines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
Familiarity with Logistics/Warehouse software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or customized WMS/TMS platforms) is a strong plus.
