    Design Engineer 0319 - Aircraft Structures Modification - Solidworks-Oklahoma

    Our client is involved in the modification of aircraft structures & interiors with ongoing projects is seeking an experienced design engineer for their operations in Oklahoma. Experience with previous aircraft freighter conversion design work preferred or experience with aircraft primary structures design such as fuselage, cargo door, wings etc. Proficiency with Solidworks is preferred.

    Jobs Roles & Responsibilities

    • Assists to develop, integrate and document structural system requirements to establish the system design.

    • Develops, maintains and modifies basic structural component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.

    • Performs tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

    • Assists with supplier development, test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.

    • Supports investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.

    • Works under general supervision.

    Required Qualifications & Skills

    • Demonstrates good problem solving skills and critical thinking

    • 4+ years of experience with 3D modeling Solidworks preferred

    • Working knowledge of standard business software (MS Office Suite)

    • Ability to meet plan delivery deadlines when assigned

    • Experience in aerospace structures, materials and properties, design criteria and release processes

    • Familiarity and demonstrated experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalent.

    Responsibilities include the design, development, qualification, and documentation of technical data packages, which are used for modification programs. Additionally, provide engineering support for existing manufactured product through investigation, problem resolution, ECN/EO and drawing revision documentation.
