The Director of Olympic and Paralympic – Gifting, Retail and Uniforms reports to the Director of Hospitality Operations and directs efforts to achieve On Location's strategic business goals related to gifting, workforce outfitting, and retail activations embedded in the wider Hospitality experience.The Core Deliverables Of The GRU TeamSource gifting items within approved budgets that enhance the Olympic and Paralympic Hospitality and add value to the guest experience.Outfit the On Location workforce with identifiable, on‑brand uniforms that fulfill their roles and responsibilities.Manage third‑party contractors to deliver innovative, streamlined distribution solutions for gifts and uniforms, contributing to operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.Identify retail opportunities within Hospitality venues, contract official retailers, and support delivery of agreed retail operations.Primary ResponsibilitiesImplement gifting, uniform and retail strategy within contractual parameters and adapt strategies to evolving business needs.Explore and implement innovative distribution strategies to enhance value proposition, reduce operational costs and streamline processes.Manage budgets and accounting related to gifting, retail and uniforms, including vendor set‑up and payments.Create and manage departmental timelines and milestones for successful implementation.Integrate the department into the wider company structure and deliver against business/project objectives within allocated budgets.Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders (Event Production, Program Management, Art & Design, Workforce Operations, Technology, Guest Communications, Logistics) and external stakeholders (IOC, OCOG, 3rd‑party vendors, and retailers).Coordinate with the Marketing Team to integrate gifting storytelling into the overall marketing plan.Build and manage a team to deliver gifting, retail and uniforms as part of the operational delivery.Support operational delivery during Games time, ensuring adherence to contracts, budgets and seamless integration into the hospitality experience.Keep executives and functional area leads informed of progress throughout the strategy, procurement and delivery process.Reconcile post‑event products, finalize invoices, close out procedures, manage demobilization of excess products and report key learnings for future events.Other Duties & ResponsibilitiesContribute to project management, milestone tracking and reporting to meet companywide objectives.Ensure departmental compliance with company policies, procurement, finance and legal procedures; maintain audit‑ready records.Manage administrative requirements for contracts, reporting, data entry, invoice processing and inventory systems.Oversee human resources and wellness for the team.Support Finance with billing, reconciliation and collection processes related to commercial activities.TravelMust be adaptable with work and travel schedule and be available to travel throughout the year, including extensive travel during the Games.QualificationsRequired Education and/or ExperienceBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, Merchandising, Brand or Hospitality Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.10+ years of professional experience, including at least 3–5 years in leadership or management roles.Preferred Education and/or ExperiencePrior experience within global events or hospitality.Senior management experience in project management, brand management, e‑commerce, or equivalent.Strong interpersonal, communication, problem‑solving and cross‑functional skills.Ability to lead large teams, develop staff, and manage performance.Extensive experience with Microsoft, Teams, AirTable and Slack, and the ability to adopt new technologies.Excellent attention to detail.Equal‑Opportunity StatementTKO is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding non‑discrimination in employment.
