The Director and Instructor for the Greenkeeper Apprenticeship Program (GAP) is responsible for program administration, instructional delivery, outreach, and compliance. The position supports workforce preparation in turfgrass management through classroom instruction, hybrid delivery, and on-site apprenticeship experiences at golf course facilities. Instructional duties will include instruction and leadership of the USGA Greenkeeper Apprenticeship Program using a variety of delivery modes: traditional classroom, online, and hybrid. Additional duties include participation on college committees and performing support duties as assigned by the department head.

Required education and experience:
Must hold an associate's degree from an accredited institution in landscape gardening, horticulture, turfgrass, or related discipline or ability to obtain within one year from start of the position. Experience in program recruitment, assessment, scheduling, and program development. Possess a strong commitment to the mission of community colleges. Have excellent written and oral communication skills. Have an appreciation of the value of collegiality.
Preferred education and experience:
Bachelor's or graduate degree in landscape gardening, horticulture, turfgrass management, education, or related field. Professional experience in golf course and turfgrass management. Experience in instruction, workforce training, or program leadership. Experience in apprenticeship programs, program recruitment, assessment, scheduling, and program development.
Does this Position Supervise: Yes Supervision of adjunct instructors brought in to teach specialty topics or additional programs that may be offered under Workforce Continuing Education Agriculture course offerings. Supervision of approximately 5 adjunct periodic instructors.
