Director of Men's Basketball Performance

What You Will Do
- Designs and implements the strength and conditioning programs for men's basketball, and men's and women's cross country.
- Works with student-athletes individually to provide regular assessments and monitoring of conditioning activity.
- Assists in the operation, supervision, maintenance, and overall safety of the athletics department conditioning facilities.
- Assists in communicating with coaches, student-athletes, and athletic trainers as to sport needs, goals, student-athlete compliance/attendance, and medical limitations.
- Responsible for advising the strength, conditioning, and training coach and the Associate AD on equipment needs, safety concerns, and overall operations.
- Supportive of the student-athlete concept and has a demonstrated concern for the health, safety, and welfare of each student-athlete.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Certification from either the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA CSCS) or Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa)
- Current CPR for Professional Rescuer or Basic Life Support certification
- Evidence of strong organizational skills, communication skills, and computer skills
- Master's degree preferred.
- Previous experience designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for Division I student-athletes
- Experience training and coaching basketball student-athletes
