As Director of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to maximize revenue across all market segments, including corporate, group, and transient business.We are a drug-free workplace and participate in E-Verify.What you will be doingRoles and Responsibilities: This job description is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all job functions that an employee in this position may be asked to perform from time to time.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue goalsLead, mentor, and manage the sales team to drive performance and accountabilityIdentify and secure new business opportunities across corporate, group, and event segmentsMaintain and grow relationships with key clients, accounts, and partnersCollaborate with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, forecasting, and inventory strategiesOversee group sales, catering sales coordination, and contract negotiationsAnalyze market trends, competitor activity, and demand patternsPrepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and budgetsEnsure compliance with InterContinental Hotels Group brand standards and sales processesRequirements: Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules (including nights, holidays and weekends) to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.Qualifications:5 years of hotel sales experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership roleFull-service hotel experience required; brand experience preferredProven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targetsStrong knowledge of hotel sales segments (corporate, group, SMERF, etc.)Experience with sales systems (Delphi, Opera Sales & Catering, or similar)Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skillsStrong analytical and strategic planning abilitiesSchedule & Travel RequirementsPrimarily weekday schedule with flexibility as neededOccasional travel for client meetings, trade shows, and sales callsFriendwell Managed Hotels function twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. As a part of the hospitality industry, a hospitable service atmosphere must be maintained at all times.
