    The Lillian and Albert Small Capital Jewish MuseumEducation InternshipFall 2026INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTIONThe Capital Jewish Museum is seeking an education intern to work as part of the education team.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Assist with the development and implementation of new and ongoing public programs for families and adults• Develop digital and print educational resources related to ongoing and special exhibitions forintergenerational audiences• Create educational and promotional social media posts (photo & video) for youth and adult programs andassist with outreach.• Train as a tour guidePREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an education, public history, museum studies, museumeducation, Jewish studies program, or a related field• Undergraduate Degree required.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Motivation and ability to work independently as part of a small but highly collaborative team in a fast-pacedenvironment• Experience working with kids and families in an informal education setting• Familiar with DC history and the cultural landscape• Proficiency with Canva preferredDURATIONThe internship will be for the Fall semester, September-December 2026, with the possibility of extension into theSpring. Applicants interested in a year long internship from September to April may indicate their interest in theircover letter. This is an in-person internship totaling 200 hours. Hybrid options are also possible, but in-person hoursare required.COMPENSATIONThe stipend for this internship is $2,200.
