The candidate understands project requirements and performs independent technical work on basic commissioning tasks. The consultant provides guidance to Commissioning Coordinators on completion of duties. Aside from the preferred locations listed, this position is open to any location with a Stantec office presence.Your Key ResponsibilitiesParticipates in all phases of commissioning projects which may include a variety of complex features, including planning, scheduling, and coordination of workPerforms engineering design reviews, prepares commissioning scripts and reports, directs client‑site testing and manages training of on‑site staffPrepares equipment pre‑start‑up and start‑up procedures; develops standard operating procedures (SOPs) and methods of procedures (MOPs); produces comprehensive commissioning documentationPrepares commissioning test procedures and reportsDevelops and maintains commissioning logs, equipment checklists, and other tools to track commissioning projectsPrepares comprehensive reports with recommendations for optimizing building operations, functional checklists, list of deficiencies, equipment operation and maintenance manualsReviews design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other documentation pertinent to commissioningParticipates in commissioning activity meetingsInterfaces with construction contractors, vendors, and testing techniciansConducts tests and compiles all testing procedure resultsIntegrates system testing, load bank testing, and compiles all testing procedure resultsDevelops and administers functional tests for various building electrical systems, such as UPS, generator, switchgears, power distribution unitsYour Capabilities and CredentialsData Center / Mission Critical experience is an assetPrevious experience working on a mission critical facility construction site is a plusLicensed PE or EIT in Electrical Discipline is a plusLEED AP accreditation is a plusCXA, AABC, ACG certification is desiredExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalHigh competency in technical writing, systems development and utilizationExperience using Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCADExtensive knowledge of MEP systems and controls design, installation and operation is a plusThe position requires domestic travel and valid travel documentsPossesses a valid driver's license with a good driving recordEducation and ExperienceTechnical/Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or accredited college or university a plusMinimum one year of consulting engineering experience preferredStantec provides equal employment opportunities to all qualified employees and applicants for future and current employment and prohibits discrimination on the grounds of race, colour, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital status, genetic information, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.#J-18808-Ljbffr
