job summary: Join Our Client as an Electrical Engineer Power System Protection in Ann Arbor, MI a 100% employee-owned global leader building bold, resilient infrastructure! We need an expert with an engineering degree and 5-10 years of transmission experience for advanced P&C design and relaysettings.
location: Ann Arbor, Michigan job type: Contract salary: $68.42 - 73.42 per hour work hours: 9am to 5pm education: Bachelors
responsibilities:
Develop protective relay settings (line, transformer, breaker, bus) and apply Protection & Control (P&C) design concepts, including one-lines, schematics, and wiring.
Utilize system modeling software (ASPEN, CAPE, etc.) and apply predominant protection schemes for Transmission, Distribution, and Renewable Collector Substations.
Ensure compliance with NERC-PRC and industry standards while actively functioning in a QC/QA capacity to maintain high-quality engineering deliverables.
Lead small projects by managing schedules, budgets, and staffing, and support proposal development with engineering estimates and scopes of work.
Collaborate effectively with team members and clients, bringing strong leadership to mentor and develop early-career professionals on behalf of Our Client.
