Electrical Wire Harness Design Engineer - May 2024-1909, CA
We have an immediate opening for an Aircraft Electrical Design Engineer with our client in Los Angeles area in CA who is working on an A320-200 P2F conversion project.
SUMMARY
Have current experience developing wiring diagrams.
Have current experience and knowledge of industry standard parts (wire types, connectors, etc..).
Have current experience selecting EWIS components.
Have current experience and familiar with aircraft manuals. Able to research aircraft data in support of specific projects using Illustrated Parts Catalogues, Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Wiring Diagram Manual Supplements, etc.
Experience with drafting EOs (Engineering Orders) / DCRs (Design Change Requests) for design change requests utilizing appropriate formats as per company's engineering handbook.
Interface with internal teams, organizations, customers, airframe manufacturers and/or government agencies to develop multiple program resource requirements, timeline schedules and specification in support of customer.
Possess the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary development team environment with designers, Configuration Management and external vendors.
Work with Certification Configuration Manager to ensure compliance of all aircraft seating and system installations in support of STC applications, FAA regulations, OEM guidelines and customer specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for reviewing and modifying the baseline aircraft schematics.
Responsible for reviewing and modifying the baseline aircraft wiring diagrams.
Responsible for creating new wiring diagrams.
Responsible for creating new schematics.
Responsible writing test plans and procedures
Responsible supporting DERs with review of PSCP and CCL
QUALIFICATIONS:
10 Plus years aerospace experience (Senior) - (3-5 years Junior)
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Preferred)
Experience with Airbus is extremely desirable.
Experience in FAA Part 25 is extremely desirable.
Familiar with AS50881, AC4313.1B
Familiar with FAA Part 25.1701-1 (EWIS)
TOOLS EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Teamcenter (PLM)
ZWCAD/ WCS (AutoCAD)
CATIA V5 (Desired)
