Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electronic Assembler III for a contract/temporary opportunity in Poway, CA. This role is ideal for a skilled electronics assembly professional with strong LRU assembly experience and a background working with cables, harnesses, chassis, printed circuit boards, panels, batteries, servo motors, and related electronic or mechanical subassemblies.
The Electronic Assembler III will work in a structured, quality-focused aerospace manufacturing environment where safety, precision, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential. Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble electronic and mechanical components, assemblies, and subassemblies according to drawings, work instructions, wire lists, and quality procedures.
- Perform wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, and related assembly tasks on production units.
- Complete mechanical assembly work on panels, LRUs, batteries, servo motors, chassis, cables, harnesses, and printed circuit boards.
- Set up, adjust, disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble assemblies while maintaining required tolerances and specifications.
- Monitor and verify work quality in accordance with established control procedures, safety practices, and operating standards.
- Assist with housekeeping, cleanup, and, as needed, training support for lower-level assemblers.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Location: Poway, CA.
- 1st Shift Pay Rate: $25.96 per hour.
- 2nd Shift Pay Rate: $27.26 per hour.
- 1st Shift Hours: 4:00 am to 1:30 pm or 5:00 am to 2:30 pm.
- 2nd Shift Hours: 3:00 pm to 12:30 am.

- Perform LRU assembly and related electronic or mechanical assembly work.
- Assemble cables, harnesses, chassis, printed circuit boards, panels, batteries, and servo motors.
- Read and follow engineering drawings, wire lists, work instructions, and control procedures.
- Use hand tools, torque wrenches, soldering tools, and compression connection tools to complete precision assembly tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant electronics assembly, mechanical assembly, or related manufacturing experience required.
- Must have LRU assembly experience.
- Experience assembling electronic equipment such as cables, harnesses, chassis, and printed circuit boards required.
- Experience with mechanical assembly of panels, LRUs, batteries, and servo motors required.
- Proficiency using hand tools and torque wrenches required.
- Solid understanding of prevailing torque and proper torque application required.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wire lists required.
- Familiarity with soldering and compression connection tools required.
- Basic knowledge of computer operations and applications relevant to the position required.
- Good visual perception and ability to distinguish between colors required.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a safety-focused production environment required.
- Ability to work extended hours when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in aerospace, defense, avionics, or other high-reliability electronics manufacturing environments.
- Experience supporting quality verification, rework, modification, or troubleshooting of electronic and mechanical assemblies.
- Prior experience assisting with training or mentoring lower-level assemblers.
- Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and commitment to safe work practices.
