Summary Software engineer on the Merchandise Planning team responsible for building APIs and web applications that support business-critical planning systems. Work with Java, Spring Boot, cloud platforms, containerization, and modern CI/CD to design, implement, and maintain scalable services. Hybrid role based in Seattle requiring on-site presence four days per week.Responsibilities Design, develop, and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and deployment automation.Participate in design and code reviews to ensure scalable, maintainable, well-tested solutions.Implement monitoring, alerting, and support cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.Collaborate with product managers, program managers, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical requirements.Work on proof-of-concept implementations and contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous learning.Provide on-call support and participate in root cause analysis for production issues.Requirements 0–2 years of professional engineering experience; recent graduates welcome.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.Strong object-oriented design skills and proficiency in Java; knowledge of Python a plus.Experience with RESTful architecture, microservices, JSON, and distributed systems concepts.Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD tooling.Knowledge of databases and NoSQL technologies; experience with testing frameworks and behavior-driven tests.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in agile teams.Ability to work on site in Seattle four days per week.#J-18808-Ljbffr
