Talascend is currently seeking a Entry Level Mechanical Assembler for a contract opportunity with our client in Livonia, Michigan.

Overview

This role involves working as an entry-level mechanic in a dynamic manufacturing environment, focusing on assembling various automotive and advanced vehicle systems, including military, autonomous, and electric vehicles. The position offers opportunities to learn cutting-edge technology through hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and sub-assemblies following written procedures
• Use manual tools and power equipment safely and effectively
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues during assembly
• Maintain organized workstations and adhere to safety protocols
• Work collaboratively within a team to meet production goals
• Assist in quality inspections and documentation as required
• Support overtime and weekend work when necessary

• 1 year of recent hands-on assembly experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be a US citizen
• Basic understanding of automotive systems
• Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to read, comprehend, and execute written procedures
• Good organizational and attention to detail skills
• Self-starter with good communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
