Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Escrow Officer/ Closer or Real Estate Paralegal to support residential and/or commercial real estate transactions from contract to closing. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate documentation, compliance with state and lender requirements, and smooth closings for all parties involved.
Responsibilities
Manage real estate files from opening through closing
Prepare, review, and coordinate closing documents including deeds, settlement statements, affidavits, and loan documents
Order and review title commitments, surveys, estoppels, payoffs, and HOA information
Communicate with buyers, sellers, lenders, real estate agents, and title companies to resolve issues and ensure timely closings
Schedule closings and coordinate with all parties involved
Review contracts and amendments for accuracy and compliance
Ensure all documents are properly executed, recorded, and disbursed
Track deadlines and maintain organized, accurate files
Assist with post-closing tasks as needed, including recording and follow-ups
Qualifications
Experience as a Real Estate Closer, Real Estate Paralegal, or similar role within a real estate firm, title company, or law firm
Strong knowledge of real estate transactions, closing procedures, and title documentation
Familiarity with state-specific real estate laws and regulations
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with real estate or legal software and Microsoft Office
Preferred (but not required)
Experience with residential and/or commercial real estate transactions
Prior experience working with lenders and title companies
Paralegal certificate or relevant legal training
