Job Description

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Prepare detailed conceptual, schematic, and bid-stage cost estimates.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to identify scope requirements.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier pricing.
  • Develop quantity takeoffs and pricing models for multiple project types.
  • Collaborate with operations, project management, and business development teams during pursuit phases.
  • Identify potential cost risks, value engineering opportunities, and budget considerations.
  • Support proposal development and client presentations throughout the preconstruction process.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Estimator within commercial construction, public sector construction, or general contracting environments.
  • Experience estimating projects within aviation, municipal, institutional, industrial, or commercial sectors is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, materials, and subcontractor markets.
  • Proficiency with construction estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
