    Job Description
    • Reviews construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
    • Calculates costs for materials, labor, equipment, and timelines
    • Prepares detailed cost estimates and project budgets
    • Analyzes project risks and identifies cost-saving opportunities
    • Requests and evaluates quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
    • Develops and submits competitive bids and tender documents
    • Collaborates with engineers, project managers, and clients
    • Monitors project costs and updates estimates as work progresses
    • Uses estimation software and spreadsheets for accurate forecasting
    • Ensures compliance with industry standards and regulations

    The Successful Applicant
    • Strong ability to interpret and analyze construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents
    • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
    • Proficient in estimation software, spreadsheets (e.g., Excel), and cost modeling tools
    • Solid understanding of civil engineering principles, materials, and construction methods
    • Effective communication skills to collaborate with engineers, contractors, and clients
    • Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet tight deadlines
    • Skilled in cost planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting
    • Proactive in identifying risks, discrepancies, and cost-saving opportunities
    • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and procurement processes
    • Organized, reliable, and capable of working both independently and within a team
