We are seeking an experienced Drywall Estimator to join our growing team in either the York or Myerstown, PA office. This individual will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial and/or industrial drywall projects. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience and a deep understanding of drywall/metal framing/painting projects for commercial/industrial size facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for drywall, metal framing, and related scopes
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and bid documents to determine project requirements
Perform quantity takeoffs
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, clients, and internal teams
Lead and manage the estimating department, including mentoring junior estimators
Review project risks, scope gaps, and value engineering opportunities
Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to ensure smooth project handoff
Track bid results and maintain historical cost data for future estimates
Qualifications:
5+ years as a Drywall Estimator in commercial and/or industrial construction
Proficiency with EDGE estimating software (preferred)
Experience managing or leading an estimating team or department
Strong knowledge of drywall systems, metal stud framing, and finishing
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Experience working for a specialty contractor or general contractor
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in large-scale commercial or industrial projects
Established relationships with vendors and subcontractors in the region
Experience with value engineering and cost-saving strategies
