Job Title: FabricatorJob Description

This role focuses on post-processing and fabrication of parts in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment. You will perform powder removal, support structure removal, visual inspection, and pressure testing whilemaintaining high standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness. The position operates on a first-shift schedule, supporting production teams with 5S housekeeping, data entry into quality systems, and collaboration across departments to prevent foreign object debris.

Responsibilities

  • Perform post-processing fabrication tasks, including powder removal, support structure removal, visual inspection, and pressure testing of parts.

  • Record technical data accurately to ensure full traceability and support quality control requirements.

  • Assist with plugging and masking of parts in coordination with other departments to maintain foreign object debris (FOD) prevention.

  • Support operators with daily 5S housekeeping and organizational tasks to maintain an efficient and orderly workspace.

  • Accurately log part counts and labor hours into the quality management system (QMS).

  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping as a high priority to ensure a FOD-free environment.

  • Use hand-held pneumatic and machine tools safely and effectively during fabrication activities.

  • Follow technical instructions and inspection criteria to meet quality and safety standards.

  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate work and resolve issues.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production and fabrication operations.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience safely operating hand-held pneumatic and machine tools such as chisels, saws, air files, belt sanders, drills, and pencil or die grinders.

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment (preferred but strongly valued).

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.

  • Ability to follow technical instructions and inspection criteria accurately.

  • Basic computer skills and experience working with quality management systems (QMS).

  • Data entry skills for logging part counts, labor hours, and technical information.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Ability to perform pressure testing as part of fabrication and quality processes.

  • Minimum age of 18 years.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior fabrication experience, including post-processing and finishing of parts.

  • Experience supporting 5S or similar workplace organization and housekeeping practices.

  • Quality assurance awareness and familiarity with inspection processes.

  • Production experience in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility.

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.

Work Environment

This position is based in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility that emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and foreign object debris (FOD) prevention. You will work a first-shift schedule, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 3:34 p.m., Monday through Friday. The environment involves regular use of hand-held pneumatic and machine tools such as chisels, saws, air files, belt sanders, drills, and pencil or die grinders, as well as interaction with quality management systems for data entry and traceability. The facility follows 5S housekeeping practices, promoting a tidy, efficient, and safe workspace with a strong focus on quality and collaborative production.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Statesville, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
