Description

The Facilities Associate supports the daily operations of the school by maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning campus environment. This role supports daily operations, event setup, basic preventative maintenance, and seasonal needs, including snow and ice removal. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to respond effectively to changing priorities and facility needs.Who You AreProven ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with a diverse teamStrong problem-solver with solutions-oriented mindsetProfessional demeanor, strong work-ethic, detail-oriented with excellent organizational skillsDemonstrates strong ownership and commitment to completing tasks to a high standardSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiativeInterested in professional growth and maintaining high performance standardsExperienced in facilities services and use of cleaning equipmentWhat You'll DoClean, move and arrange furnishings, supplies, and equipment as directedMaintain overall building cleanliness, safety, and appearance with strong attention to detailMonitor and replenish consumable supplies to ensure uninterrupted operationsAssist with receiving, organizing, and distributing deliveriesSet up and break down spaces for events based on daily schedulesMonitor building conditions and report maintenance or safety concerns (e.g., leaks, unusual odors, equipment issues)Respond to unexpected situations, including spills, accidents, and equipment malfunctions in accordance with safety protocolsClean and handle materials involving chemicals, solvents, blood, or bodily fluids following approved safety proceduresPerform routine preventive maintenance (e.g., replaces filters, cleaning equipment, preparing items for storage)Perform snow and ice removal duties as neededEnsure assigned areas are secure at the end of each shiftTake the initiative to perform routine responsibilities independentlyRespond to facility related emergencies as neededParticipate in occupational safety and facility training programs as directedPerform other specific job-related duties as directed by the Building ManagerQualificationsSuccessful completion of a criminal background checkHigh School diploma or equivalent2 or more years' experience in facilities servicesAbility to stand and walk for the duration of the work periodLift up to and in excess of 40 lbsS-95 Certificate of Fitness required, or willingness to obtain certification through the network within an established onboarding periodWork Requirements and ScheduleTypical hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM; however, schedule may vary based on operational needsMust maintain flexible availability during the winter season to support weather-related operations, including off-hours and weekend responseCompensationSalary is $54,700-$63,000 and commensurate with your experience.
