    Description

    Summary of the positionThe Facilities Support team member plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, functionality, and overall appearance of BRAVE Church facilities. This position supports daily operations by performing routine maintenance tasks, assisting with repairs, and ensuring that all areas of the building are well-stocked and organized. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a welcoming and efficient environment for BRAVE Church.Working under the direction of the Facilities Manager, the Facilities Support staff collaborates with internal departments and external vendors to address facility needs promptly and professionally. This role requires a strong work ethic, the ability to prioritize tasks, and a willingness to take initiative in solving problems related to building operations.Experience and Knowledge Required1–3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or a related support role. Experience working in environments such as corporate offices, schools, hospitals, or industrial facilities is a plus.Basic understanding of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting.Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.Knowledge of safety protocols, OSHA standards, and emergency procedures.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.Clear verbal and written communication for reporting issues and documenting tasks.Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues and propose practical solutions.Proactive mindset with attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.Willingness to respond to urgent requests and adjust priorities as needed.Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to work after hours or on weekends when needed.Strong work ethic, commitment to excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Maintenance & RepairsPerform routine inspections and basic repairs of building systems (e.g., lighting, plumbing, HVAC).Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently.Facility Cleanliness & OrganizationEnsure common areas, restrooms, and workspaces are clean, stocked, and presentable.Assist with waste disposal, recycling, and inventory of cleaning supplies.Room Setup & Event SupportSet up and break down furniture and equipment for meetings, events, and special functions.Coordinate with staff to ensure spaces are prepared and restored as needed.Inventory & Supplies ManagementTrack and replenish facility-related supplies (e.g., paper products, tools, light bulbs).Receive deliveries and organize storage areas.Vendor CoordinationAssist with scheduling and overseeing external contractors and service providers.Provide access and support during on-site work or inspections.Administrative SupportDocument maintenance activities and update logs or work order systems.Assist with facility-related reporting and recordkeeping.Other duties as assigned.AttributesPositive attitudeHeart of a servantFun/enjoyableOrganizational skillsMust share the vision of BRAVE to fulfill the Great Commission with integrity and passion.Core ValuesBold in Faith, Resolute in Identity, Authentic in Relationships, Virtuous in Character, Engaged in Mission.Love for God & People.Work Ethic that is excellent, protective and frugal with time and money.Attitude of a servant, enjoyable to be with and devoted to the call of God and the Church.BenefitsMedical (PPO Plan), Dental, Vision - BRAVE pays 90% of Insurance PremiumFSA - to help with cost of medical expenses403b - Eligible at 90 days with company matchCompany paid Long-term disability and Life InsurancePTO - Full-time employees accrue 4 weeks a year.For complete information on this job, please see the attached job description.For more information on BRAVE Church or BRAVE Academy, please visit our websites:www.brave.orgwww.braveacademy.org#J-18808-Ljbffr
