Job SummaryThe Student Success Program Assistant supports the Department of Student Success by assisting with initiatives, program development, marketing, social media, and outreach efforts. This position helps promote student success services, supports first-year students, and contributes to a welcoming environment where students feel informed, connected, and encouraged to engage with campus resources.LocationWest Campus: 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. East Campus: 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.ResponsibilitiesSocial Media and Digital MediaEvaluate current efforts for relevance, connectedness, and usabilityDevelop flyers, captions, posts, and reels to market our programs and servicesCapture photos and videos during workshops, events, and other departmental activitiesCreate and schedule content for Student Success social media platformsMarketing and OutreachDistribute flyers and promotional materialsDevelop strategies for increased student participation and awarenessAssist with phone and email outreach to students as directedProgram and Event CoordinationAssist with planning and preparing for workshops, events, programs, and tabling sessionsSupport program logistics and assist with event setup, check‑in, cleanup, and engagementAssist with data entry and record maintenanceRequired QualificationsCurrent Albany State University student in good academic standing.Preferred QualificationsExperience with graphic design, photography, video editing, or content creationExperience with Canva, Instagram, TikTok, Capcut, or related graphic design platformsInterest in peer mentoring, event planning, and student successKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of campus policies and systems such as Banner or EABStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to multi‑taskDependable and punctualAbility to work independentlyStrong creativity and attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsConditions of EmploymentAll selected candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Albany State University.Certain positions may also require the selected candidate to submit to or have:A credit check completed for "Positions of Trust" and/or approved departmental purchase card usageA motor vehicle report for positions that require driving an Albany State University vehicleA successful pre‑employment drug testEqual Employment OpportunityAlbany State University is an equal employment, equal access, and equal educational opportunity and affirmative action institution.
