    Description

    Survey/Layout Operator

    Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented survey/layout operator to join our VDC (Virtual Design & Construction) team. This role is responsible for the setup and operation of Trimble Robotic Total Stations/GNSS receivers, layout of mechanical/plumbing elements, and management of layout files. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction logistics, technology literacy, and construction field layout equipment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Set up and operate Trimble Robotic Total Stations/GNSS equipment on construction sites.
    • Collect and verify control points to ensure accurate layout.
    • Import, manage, and maintain point file data from project drawings and models.
    • Conduct layout of pipe systems, hangers, and floor penetrations.
    • Communicate with Field Technology Manager, project managers and field teams.
    • Travel to various job sites when needed.

    Ideal Experience & Skills:

    • Experience in operating Robotic Total Stations or similar construction layout systems.
    • Construction logistics and layout processes.
    • Proficiency in using layout software and managing point data files.
    • Comfortable working with computer files (.csv, .dwg,.tflx,.rvt) and construction technology tools.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and models.
    • Experience working with Trimble FieldLink or similar layout software.
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel when needed.
