    Final Assembly Project Manager (Assistant to the Head of Production)

    The Final Assembly Project Manager (Assistant to the Head of Production) provides administrative, operational, and coordination support to ensure efficient management of rail production and maintenance activities. This role plays a key part in supporting day-to-day operations, tracking performance, coordinating communication, and ensuring compliance with rail industry standards.

    Key Activities
    • Assist the Head of Production in coordinating daily rail production and maintenance activities.
    • Follow up on action items, deadlines, and operational priorities.
    • Support coordination between departments (engineering, operations, supply chain, safety).
    • Manage calendars, meetings, and communications for the Head of Production.
    • Prepare reports, presentations, and production performance summaries.
    • Maintain accurate documentation, records, and production data.
    • Organize operational reviews and production schedule.
    • Collect and analyze production and maintenance data (e.g., fleet performance, delays, availability).
    • Prepare dashboards and KPI reports.
    • Help identify trends and highlight operational risks or inefficiencies.
    • Act as a liaison between the Head of Production and internal teams.
    • Ensure clear communication of production priorities and updates.
    • Support escalation and resolution of operational issues.
    • Assist in coordinating production improvement initiatives and maintenance projects.
    • Track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones.
    • Support implementation of new tools, systems, or rail technologies.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or a manufacturing environment, with preference for rail industry experience.
    • Proven experience in administrative or coordinator roles supporting senior leadership.
    • Exposure to and involvement in continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing or operational setting.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
    • Data analysis and reporting skills
    • Attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
