Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Fire Sprinkler Estimator in Dallas, Texas to develop accurate bids and drive project wins for fire protection systems.

• Optimize project budgets through strategic supplier and subcontractor relationships

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to understand fire sprinkler system requirements

• Perform material, labor, equipment, and overhead take-offs to prepare detailed, competitive bids

• Ensure all estimates comply with NFPA 13, NFPA 14, and applicable fire protection codes

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to gather information and align on project goals

• Evaluate and select suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating favorable terms to optimize budgets

• Conduct site visits to assess conditions, identify risks, and propose effective solutions

• Maintain accurate records of project estimates, bids, and communications for tracking and reporting

• Support design-build and value engineering efforts to deliver cost-effective solutions

Requirements
Must-Haves

• 3+ years of estimating experience for fire sprinkler systems

• Strong understanding of fire protection codes including NFPA 13 and NFPA 14

• Proficiency with estimating software and blueprint reading

• Experience with new construction and retrofit fire protection projects

• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills

Nice-to-Haves

• NICET certification in fire sprinkler systems

• Technical degree in fire protection or related field

• Prior hands-on field experience installing fire sprinkler systems

• Local to Dallas or able to relocate
