    Description

    Food Service - Production Worker - Casual

    The Food Production Worker conducts a variety of tasks within the department, (utility, room service, café server and general kitchen worker.) Job status: Casual.

    Minimum skills, experience, and educational requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Competency in communication skills, mathematics, and computers.
    • Good interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude.
    • Above average attention to personal hygiene.
    • ServSafe Food Safety Certification or Ottawa County Health Department Food Safety Program preferred.

    Critical demands of the job:

    • Must be able to lift 30lbs.
    • Must be able to communicate to both internal and external customers in a professional manner.
    • Must be able to work in a team environment.
    • Must be able to flex hours of schedule to meet the demands of the operation.
    • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information.
    • Working knowledge of food and physical safety standards.

    Working conditions:

    • Exposure to potentially hazardous equipment on a daily basis.
    • Exposure to hot and cold elements (cooking equipment and coolers/freezers.)
    • On your feet for 90% of workday.
