    We are currently hiring a per diem Food Service Worker for Dietary and Food Services at Fremont Hospital!

    Shifts Available:

    1) 5:30am - 2:00pm

    2) 6:00am - 2:30pm

    3) 11:00am - 7:30pm

    The Food Service Worker supports the successful operation of the kitchen through assisting with the preparation and service of breakfast, lunch, and dinner for patients and facility staff as directed by the cook, supervisor, manager, and/or director. Functions include food prep; maintaining an adequate supply of food and beverages; ensuring the kitchen and dining room remain clean at all times, especially during mealtimes; assisting in the preparation and delivery of patient meals ; and operating the dish washing machine. The kitchen also provides on-unit snacks and maintains par levels. Proper safe food handling and kitchen safety protocols must be always followed.

    Fremont Hospital is a fully accredited, 148-bed private inpatient psychiatric hospital providing quality care for children through adults. The facility provides a full assortment of care which includes assessments, inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, partial-hospitalization, intensive outpatient psychiatric treatment as well as chemical dependency outpatient care.

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience:
    • Basic knowledge of food service, safe food handling, and sanitation.
    Additional Requirements:
    • May be required to obtain ServSafe® certification.
    • May be required to successfully complete the Fremont Hospital's non-violent Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training course within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting with preventative intervention mea
    • May be required to work overtime and flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
    • Ability to stand up to 8 hours at a time.
    • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and to push and pull up to 50 pounds.
