Description
Deputy Digital Director for Social Media
Friends of Sherrod Brown is seeking an individual to join a growing digital team as our Deputy Digital Director for Social Content who will work with the Digital Content Director to develop and oversee social strategy and platform management for the campaign, as well as assisting with app native content development.
This role will assist in overseeing a team managing social media accounts across platforms, content production, and branding for the campaign. They will report to the Digital Director and will assist in supervising digital team staff.
Responsibilities:
Design and execute goal-oriented content strategy to grow online following in coordination with the Digital Director and Comms team
Manage the day-to-day operations of the digital content team, as well as help plan and assist with digital shoots and capturing content
Develop and oversee goal-oriented content calendars and approval processes across multiple social media platforms and accounts, including for rapid response moments
Manage social media platforms, and develop multi-platform creative including vertical video, memes, and various kinds of app native content
Build and manage the campaign's surrogates and influencers program
Help develop a plan and the execution of campaign graphics, video, and other digital tactical programs fitting with campaign branding goals
Build and analyze social media and social listening reports to provide insights into social success and strategy
Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
2+ cycles of experience creating content and/or managing social media accounts for a campaign, agency, or non-profit ("cycle" can mean primaries, specials, etc.);
Prior working experience writing, editing, and proofing digital content that drives action and maintains a consistent voice;
Prior working experience creating digital content for rapid response moments preferred;
Prior working experience with vertical video platforms and app native social content preferred;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Attention to detail and enthusiasm for data-driven processes;
Proven experience growing vertical video platform audiences;
Dedication to being a team player and trying new things;
Access to cell phone and laptop
Logistics:
Level: Deputy
Salary Band: $7,000 - $8,000 monthly+, commensurate with experience
Location: Columbus
Benefits: Medical, dental vision plan at no premium upon meeting plan eligibility requirements
Leave: Paid time off will be available per Campaign policy.
Hours: Full-time position. This position's schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.
