Full Time Bulk Associate
Description: To maintain a responsive customer service presence on the Bulk Department retail floor and to ensure a clean and well-stocked department.
Status: Full Time, Regular, $17.00/hour Non-Exempt
Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Open Date 8/17/2026 Position Bulk, Associate Position Requirements
Customer/ Member Service:
- Maintain a presence on sales floor in order to assist customers with questions, offer samples, and provide suggestions for purchase and preparation
- Assist with the training of member workers in proper handling of products and department cleaning procedures as necessary
- As necessary, supervise member workers during shifts, assigning tasks relevant to current needs of the department
Department Maintenance:
- Replenish and rotate stock following established priorities and schedules
- Replenish materials such as bags, containers, twist ties, labels, brochures and recipes as necessary to ensure consistent availability
- Remove damaged or spoiled goods from the sales floor promptly and according to department policies
- Keep retail, prep, and storage areas in clean and orderly condition, including but not limited to: wiping surfaces, removing trash, breaking down bags and boxes, cleaning bins and utensils, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping as needed
- Assist with receipt of deliveries as needed, including checking in, unloading and storing
- Adhere to established departmental procedures and systems
- Complete special projects and perform additional tasks as assigned by Bulk Manager
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with natural foods
- Ability to safely lift 65 lbs. continuously and consistently
- Ability to project friendly, helpful presence to customers while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Ability to follow written and oral directions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Organized, with attention to details
- Flexibility in scheduling, including willingness to exchange shifts with co-workers, willingness to cover additional shifts if needed, and willingness to alter work schedule to meet changing needs of the department
