Point of Sale Coordinator Positon

Full Time - Information Technology Department

Overview

The POS Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate pricing information in the POS system and at the shelf level while working with retail departments on training and support for the POS system. Also, to be responsible for maintaining data accuracy in our Instacart platform.

Job Responsibilities:

Data Maintenance:

• Ensure that costs are updated regularly in our sales management system. Cross referencing vendor files and invoices with system reports.
• Update pricing from our monthly UNFI cost data to generate batches, printing batch reports for managers to review and printing shelf tags once prices are in effect.
• Maintain item location by aisle/shelf in SMS and Instacart availability
• Maintain accurate data in both Instacart local database as well as our online Instacart catalog, both adding new items as well as eliminating discontinued items.
• Assist marketing department with photographing items for the Instacart web site
• Provide computer training and technical assistance to Co-op staff
• Support training on the back end of SMS storewide
• Manage pricing execution, ensuring accuracy and consistency in SMS and on shelf tags

Administrative:

• Provide project assistance to other staff members/departments as needed.
• Provide general technical support to staff members.
• Provide technical coverage in the absence of IT Administrator.

General:

• Be prompt in arriving at scheduled start times
• Attend and participate in department meetings
• Attend All Staff meetings when possible
• Other duties relevant to the Co-op's IT and POS systems as needed
• Participate in quarterly inventories, both answering questions and cross counting
• Working one weekend day.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with natural foods in a rettail environment.
• Experience with retail pricing and margin management
• Proficiency in Microsoft office applications, including Excel and Word.
• At least one year of experience in data base management.
• Demonstrated ability to cooperate and communicate well with others.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
