Description
Overview
We are looking for a General Ledger Accountant to support our Finance team in the US. This role is responsible for month-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
Prepare, review, and post journal entries, accruals, allocations, and other accounting adjustments.
Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
Support accounts receivable and accounts payable activities, including cash application and reconciliations.
Maintain and optimize accounting procedures, controls, and documentation.
Provide Sales and Use Tax data and reporting support to the Tax Department. Manage SAP transactions and document reversals as required.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with solid knowledge of accounting; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
0-3 years of general Ledger accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing, industrial, or multinational environment, would be an advantage.
Basic understanding of accounting principles, month-end close processes, accrual accounting, and financial reporting.
Basic Excel skills, using formulas, and input into financial models.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Team-oriented with a proactive, result-driven mindset.
