This role supports daily transloading activities—primarily handling lumber and other materials—through loading, unloading, material handling, housekeeping, and basic maintenance. Ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company procedures and safety standards.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesMust maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performanceFollow written and verbal directions to complete assigned tasks on scheduleRead, write, and communicate in English & understand basic mathLearn from directions, observations, and mistakes and apply procedures using good judgmentWorking knowledge of Watco Safety and Operating principlesComplete all applicable documentation, recordkeeping and daily inventoryMust be able to bend, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds alone, twist, climb. Must be able to talk and hear well enough to communicate with all team members, vendors, and customers 100% of the timeParticipate in safety briefings, job briefings, and any other pass on information from team members, management or customerOperate in a manner where SAFETY and ENVIRONMENT are of the highest importancePerform structural inspections as requiredStart, stop, and operate engines/pumps within defined operating parametersPerform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirementsAbility to work outside majority of the time and withstand extreme weather conditionsMust be able to work with a team, take direction and follow work rules, as well as, take on additional job responsibilities as needed or assignedFlexibility required; ability to work days, nights, weekendsQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be able to pass and/or obtain all reporting, testing, and certifications as required for this position and location.
