Allied Universal is Hiring a GSOC Shift Lead to work at a Tech Company located in San Jose

 

Pay Rate: $35.00 / Hour

 

Shift: Overnight / Saturday - Wednesday / 12am-8am

       

Requirements:

*Active CA Guard Card 

*Security experience of 1 or more years

*Intermediate to advanced technology skills

*Level 1 Certificate (Power to Arrest and Appropriate Use of Force Certificate)

 

*Use of personal electronic devices while on duty is prohibited

 

 

Role Overview

As the Physical Security Shift Lead, you will be the operational heartbeat of our Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). You aren't just monitoring screens; you are a proactive leader managing a team of GSOC Officers and serving as the vital link between field operations, the Account Manager, and our global tech client. You will ensure real-time intelligence is communicated effectively and that all security protocols are executed with precision. This position oversees real time GSOC , ensuring the safety, continuity, and resilience of the organizations people, assets, and information. You will serve as primary decisionmaker during your shift.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Lead, mentor and mentor GSOC Officers on shift, ensuring high performance, accurate reporting, and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs). Oversee all real time monitoring, incident detection , triage and escalation of global operations.
  • Strategic Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between the GSOC and the Account Manager. Translate high-level client needs into actionable tasks for the floor.
  • Critical Communications: Draft and distribute high-priority security advisories and incident reports to stakeholders at a major Global Tech Company.
  • Incident Management: Lead as incident commander for events and business disruptions. Lead response to security alarms, medical emergencies, and global threats, coordinating resources and providing real-time updates to leadership.
  • Service Excellence: Maintain a "customer-first" mentality, ensuring all interactions with employees, visitors, and tech partners are professional and solution-oriented.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a GSOC or high-volume dispatch environment.
  • Customer Service: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a "heavy customer service" background-capable of staying calm and polite under intense pressure.
  • Communication: Elite written and verbal skills; you must be able to summarize complex technical situations into clear, concise advisories for corporate executives.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient with VMS (Video Management Systems), Access Control, and mass notification tools. Partner with technical teams to troubleshoot system issues and contribute to the evolution of GSOC tools and capabilities.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead a team, delegate tasks effectively, and hold others accountable.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Military and/or law enforcement experience
  • College degree in Communications, Criminal Justice, or related field of study
