Heavy Equipment Operator

Girard Resources & Recycling, LLC is currently taking applications for full-time position as a Heavy Equipment Operator. We sell and deliver topsoil, bark, and aggregate products to residential and commercial companies. We are looking for an individual who has some experience in operating any and all core equipment, which includes dozers, excavators, backhoes, and loaders.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Load dump trucks and trailers with product;
• Screening topsoil;
• Movement of material in the yard;
• Yard Maintenance;
• Sorting materials;
• Crushing concrete and asphalt;
• Tarp bunkers;
• Maintaining material stockpiles;
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate, and refill equipment;

Required Skills:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more;
• Ability to multi-task;
• History of good employment attendance;
• Must be flexible to work weekends when needed;
• Good verbal communication skills are essential;
• Experience with screening plants;
• Experience with crushing plants;
• Ability to comprehend and willfully take orders as well as follow directions;
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time;
• Ability to climb, bend, stoop, and squat frequently;
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public;
• Ability to work long hours outdoors, occasionally under adverse weather conditions;
