    This position is a field based role and will travel daily to job sites mostly in Pennsylvania.

    Responsibilities
    • Operates various equipment including backhoes, excavators, dozers, plows, trenchers and or directional bore machines for the installation or maintenance of underground utilities, and other duties as directed by foreman.
    • Operators are expected to embrace H&M's safety culture including safe operation of equipment, appropriate PPE and participating in daily and weekly safety talks.
    • Operators will be directed in placing or maintaining underground utilities. This could include but not limited to digging around existing utilities, placing conduit, placing handholes, placing manholes, backfilling & compacting.
    • Operators will be responsible for daily maintenance of equipment such as and maintaining fluids, greasing equipment as required and other routine maintenance as necessary.
    • Operators are required to be familiar with OSHA Regulations regarding trench safety.
    Qualifications
    • Minimum of two years experience with construction, excavation, and related heavy equipment operation preferred.
    • Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator license with a CDL A license preferred.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random drug and alcohol testing
