SMT Technician North Kingstown, RI$31.84 - $45.66 depending on experience and shift differential Responsible for providing technical support for the printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) cell.Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain PCBA process at all points and provide feedback & corrective action
Program, troubleshoot, and maintain SMT and through-hole assembly lines
Assist manufacturing engineers in identifying and implementing new equipment and locating equipment
Help develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program
Perform preventative maintenance and repair on production equipment
Maintain spare parts for critical production equipment
Assist with the manufacturing of custom equipment and fixtures
Train colleagues on SMT and PCBA processes and machines as necessary
Work collaboratively and positively to promote teamwork throughout the department
Participate in regular Kaizen events to help improve overall factory performance and fulfill long term strategic goals
Proficient in SMT assembly equipment programming (Siemens/ASM placement equipment a major plus)
Experience with and programming of through-hole assembly equipment, wave solder, conformal coat, machine shop experience, also a plus
MS-Office, CAD/CAM
Hands-on electro-mechanical skills
Works well as part of a team
Associate’s degree or technical certificate preferred
10+ years of experience in a technical manufacturing role
