Technicians progress through levels based on skill, independence, troubleshooting ability, and leadership.HVAC Technician I (Entry Level)What You'll Do:Assist with installation of HVAC equipment, ductwork, supports, and pipingPerform basic tasks such as mounting units, running flex, and pulling cableUse hand tools, power tools, and measurement tools safelyRead simple mechanical drawings and labelsMaintain clean work areas and follow all safety procedures0 - 1 year experienceHave basic mechanical aptitudeAre reliable, safety‑focused, and eager to learnWant a long‑term career path in HVACWhat You'll Do:Independently install commercial HVAC equipment and accessoriesPerform start‑ups on RTUs, split systems, heat pumps, fans, and pumpsTroubleshoot mechanical and electrical issuesRead and interpret mechanical drawings and wiring diagramsVerify proper installation, airflow, and equipment operationComplete installation documentation and start‑up formsAssist in training Technician I team members1 - 3 years experienceHave solid HVAC mechanical knowledgeCan troubleshoot basic electrical/mechanical issuesWork independently and manage daily tasks confidentlyWhat You'll Do:Lead installation and start‑up of complex HVAC systemsDiagnose advanced mechanical, electrical, and airflow issuesPerform full functional testing and verify system performanceWork closely with controls technicians to verify BAS sequencesReview drawings, submittals, and specificationsMentor Technician I and II employeesComplete detailed start‑up documentation and deficiency listsCoordinate with commissioning teams, project managers, and engineers3 - 7 years experienceHave advanced HVAC diagnostic skillsUnderstand airflow, refrigeration, electrical systems, and BAS interactionCan lead teams and manage field tasksCommunicate clearly and document work thoroughlyRequirementsEPA 608 Certification (Universal preferred)Valid driver's license and clean driving recordAbility to read mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment specificationsStrong communication and customer‑service skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
