Direct Hire | $50,000 - $60,000 Base Salary | 35-Hour Work Week

What You'll Do

As the Import Operations Coordinator, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for import customers and manage the end-to-end import process while delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage import shipments from booking through final delivery
• Coordinate transportation, customs clearance, and documentation requirements
• Communicate with customs brokers, trucking providers, airlines, steamship lines, and freight partners
• Negotiate rates and coordinate shipment bookings when applicable
• Process and distribute Bills of Lading, collect charges, and shipment documentation
• Generate delivery orders and arrange transportation services
• Ensure accurate and timely invoicing, billing, and collections activities
• Monitor shipment status, perform shipment tracing, and proactively resolve delivery issues
• Provide outstanding customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and shipment updates
• Build strong relationships with customers and logistics partners through professional communication
• Maintain accurate shipment records within CargoWise and other transportation management systems

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in international freight forwarding, import operations, or logistics coordination
• Hands-on experience managing import shipments and customs documentation
• Proficiency with CargoWise One (required)
• Strong working knowledge of international transportation carriers, routing, and logistics networks
• Experience working within a paperless, TMS-driven environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
