Freight Forwarding Account Manager

Leading freight forwarder in the Ontario area is seeking a freight forwarding account manager to join their growing branch! This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in logistics/transportation looking to learn more about sales/account management.

Full Time: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

Salary: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service to internal/external clients via phone/email while serving as the first point of contact for the company
• Present company services to potential clients while meeting/exceeding sales goals
• Calculate accurate rates/quotes while ensuring the customers needs are met
• Prepare customer agreements/contracts
• Accurately utilizing the company database to maintain/update customer accounts
• Transfer invoice data into local systems while accurately prorating the revenue based on contracts/agreements
• Compile and maintain customer account records
• Document and ensure proper keeping of financial records, making use of current technologies

Desired Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in business development for the freight forwarding industry
• Knowledge of international freight forwarding
• Book of business is a huge plus, but not required
• Experience leading a team of account executives to include sales training, goal setting, etc.

• Quoting: 3 years (Preferred)
• Freight forwarding account management: 3 years (Preferred)
