    Location: The School District of New London is located in East Central Wisconsin on the border of Waupaca and Outagamie counties. It covers 144 square miles in three counties with an approximate population of 18,000 and a tax base of just over one billion dollars. We are well known for our recreation activities including historic Hatten Park and Mosquito Hill, and quick access to the Fox Valley for the Performing Arts Center (PAC), Timber Rattler Stadium and a variety of shopping and entertainment. New London is a district of the perfect size with access to all you need.

    Job Summary:

    The School District of New London is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and visionary summer school coordinator to lead and coordinate Summer School for 2027. As an educational leader, the ideal candidate will embrace the values of our school while fostering a supportive and engaging environment for students, staff, and parents.

    Qualifications:

    • Valid Wisconsin DPI 5051 License, School Principal (recommended, not required)
    • Successful teaching experience
    • Commitment to and belief that all learners can be successful
    • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff with a shared vision of teaching and learning for all students
    • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships with students and staff

    Essential Job Duties:

    Communication

    • Send updates regarding attendance expectations, schedules, and student progress to all necessary stakeholders.
    • Review attendance records, grade reports, and survey feedback from staff and families.
    • Present a final summary of program outcomes, budget expenditures, and recommendations to the Director of Teaching and Learning.
    • Communicate early and often with ISMS and HS coordinators

    Leadership

    • Fully oversee summer school throughout the district, while specifically coordinating and leading at the Elementary level.
    • Provides instructional leadership to identify and align resources and instructional practices that meet student's needs to maximize student achievement and exceed established goals.
    • Collaborates with the Director of Teaching and Learning to promote intensive reading intervention - specifically in line with Act 20 requirements.
    • Address behavioral concerns and enforce district codes of conduct during the summer term.

    Personnel

    • Recruit and select certified staff, support staff and administrative support for the summer session.
    • Directly supervises teachers and support staff
    • Oversee substitute teacher coverage and track daily staff hours.

    Management

    • Communicates and adheres to district policies; develops, maintains, and communicates building procedures to staff and students.
    • Establishes and monitors an onboarding process to support and assist all new staff in their instructional practices.
    • Set dates and daily schedules for all participating school sites.
    • Allocate funds for instructional materials, technology, facility usage, and staff payroll.
    • Ensures adherence to the district's safety, emergency, and disaster procedures, including the communication and training of such plans to staff and students.
    • Arrange student transportation, meal services, and custodial support with district departments.
    • Create and manage the enrollment process for student sign-ups and course selections.
