Inventory and Planning SupervisorDepartment: Operations & Supply ChainEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: North Kingstown, RIReporting To: Mark DuffyDescriptionThe Inventory and Planning Supervisor is responsible for the strategic leadership, direction, and performance of all materials management functions at the North Kingstown facility. This includes production planning, inventory control, purchasing coordination, material flow optimization, and ERP system integrity to ensure customer demand is met efficiently, cost-effectively, and on schedule.What You Will DoDevelop and execute materials strategies that align with sales forecasts, operational objectives, and financial goals.Establish and maintain optimal inventory levels to support customer service targets and working capital performance.Monitor and drive key KPIs including inventory turns, on-time delivery, schedule attainment, and material availability.Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and capacity alignment across Sales and Operations.Direct master production scheduling (MPS) and release of manufacturing work orders (make-to-order and make-to-stock).Monitor work-in-process (WIP), resolve bottlenecks, and ensure accurate promise dates with proactive communication.Own ERP/MRP system integrity, including BOMs, routings, item master data, lead times, forecasts, and planning parameters.Drive continuous improvement in system utilization, reporting, and data accuracy to support cost control and planning effectiveness.Partner with Purchasing to validate MRP outputs, ensure timely procurement, and improve supplier performance and lead time.Lead, coach, and develop production planning and inventory teams while fostering cross-functional collaboration.Oversee physical inventory and cycle count programs, ensure compliance with internal controls, and report operational performance to senior leadership.What You Will HaveBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience may be considered.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly Word and Excel.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in production planning, materials management, or related roles within a manufacturing environmentExperience in make-to-order and make-to-stock manufacturing operations.Strong knowledge of MPS/MRP systems and ERP database management.APICS CPIM or other relevant supply chain certification preferred.Job BenefitsHealth & WellnessComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage to support employees and their families.Financial Benefits401(k) retirement plan with company match to help employees build long-term financial security.Time Off & Work-Life BalancePaid time off and company holidays to allow time for rest, family, and personal needs.Additional BenefitsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) and development opportunitie s to support wellbeing and career growth.#J-18808-Ljbffr
