Job InformationRequisition ID: 21035Employment Type: Full TimeJob Category: Vending ManagementWork Location: Phoenix, AZBrief Position SummaryUnder the supervision of the Solution Implementation Manager, the Inventory Management Specialist (IMS) would be responsible for successfully implementing the various inventory management solutions offered by MSC promoting a best‑in‑class experience for all stakeholders. This includes driving solutions, installations, data collection, vending machine diagnostics, maintenance and training. This position is expected to focus on advanced solution selling and implementation tasks.Duties and ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with all MSC Sales Teams to achieve sales growth through SolutionsMaintains a thorough knowledge of all MSC solutions which include bar‑coded solutions such as CMI and VMI, vending, crib software, etc.Follows all required Salesforce protocols for project and time managementDrives proficiencies in the following areas: Solutions discovery including data collection, solutions recommendations, installations, break‑fix (onsite service), post‑install support, supply chain optimization, fiscal responsibility, cancellation supportAdheres to service level agreements to consistently deliver best‑in‑class resultsPossesses proficient knowledge with the tools, technology and related PPEProvides feedback to management for continuous process improvementRepresents MSC Solutions at branch meetings and fosters partnerships with sales associatesSupports designated team goals and objectivesFollows all MSC policies and procedures documented in the associate handbookParticipates in special projects and performs additional duties as requiredFosters the MSC culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC's missionEducation and ExperienceAssociate's Degree or equivalent relevant experience is requiredMinimum two (2) years supporting value‑added customer solutions / inventory management programs is preferredExperience troubleshooting hardware and/or software is preferredKnowledge of MSC‑like product lines/services and MSC related experience is requiredMinimum of two (2) years of general sales experience is preferredSkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills requiredExcellent interpersonal skills requiredOrganizational and time‑management skills requiredExcellent electro‑mechanical skills requiredProblem‑solving and situational adaptability skills requiredComputer literacy and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software requiredOther RequirementsA valid driver's license and the ability to travel 75% including overnight is requiredMust possess basic knowledge and use of hand and power toolsAbility to perform physical activities such as lifting approximately 50 lbs.Ability to work in various types of industrial environmentsMust adhere to customer‑specific requirements such as wearing hard hats, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, etc.CompensationCompensation starting at $51,800 - $65,339 per year depending on candidate location and experience. The salary range is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity.
