Description

ResponsibilitiesExecute, monitor, and train inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire store, including front end and pharmacy.Support pharmacy inventory management activities: receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns.Champion On‑Shelf Availability by handling receiving, counting, pricing, and all in‑store inventory processes.Validate and ensure the accuracy of planograms.Review and coordinate the proper use of reports and system applications that impact front end and pharmacy on‑hand balances and pricing.Maintain front end and pharmacy asset protection techniques; file claims for warehouse and vendor overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods including prescription drugs.Open and close the store in the absence of management, handling system start‑ups, cash handling, cashier responsibilities, and ensuring floor and stock room readiness.Engage customers by greeting them, offering assistance, and resolving issues when serving as leader on duty.Model and share customer service best practices with all team members.Execute and coach team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes.Scan deliveries while the vendor is in the store, handling One Box receiving and contacting vendors for undelivered receipts.Under pharmacist supervision, verify all pharmacy shipments are posted and complete pharmacy warehouse orders, prescription and OTC orders, and other pharmacy activities.Complete On‑Shelf Availability (OSA) end‑to‑end process, including disposals, call‑ins, vendor returns, and scanned outs for all departments.Execute pricing activities: price changes, markdowns, and regulatory pricing tasks.Support front end and pharmacy ordering by ordering expense items and monitoring manual orders.Update and place designated pull & quarantine item on‑hands in the holding area.Maintain accurate inventory counts in all departments, stockroom, and pharmacy (smart counts).Ensure inventory compliance with state and local laws for regulated products.Assist in maintaining inventory records and organize related documents.Help prepare for and support physical inventory day activities.Maintain clean and well‑merchandised counters and shelves.Coaches team on package delivery activities and supports pickup program execution.When serving as leader on duty, register all sales, handle scanning errors, price verifications, voids, returns, refunds, and cash drops to safe.Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.Complete any additional activities and tasks as assigned.Training & Personal DevelopmentAttend company‑based training and complete all e‑learning modules, including safety training requirements.Obtain and maintain a valid pharmacy license or certification as required by state.CommunicationsServe as a liaison between management and team members by coaching and developing other capabilities related to inventory systems.When serving as leader on duty, communicate assigned tasks to team members and report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.Basic QualificationsSix months of prior work experience with Walgreens (internal candidates) or one year of prior retail work experience (external candidates).Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.“Achieving expectations” rating on last performance review and no written disciplinary actions in the previous 12 months (internal candidates only).Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multitask and manage execution.Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing solutions.Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, designated hitter, or customer service associate.Prior work experience with Walgreens, with an evaluation on file.We will consider employment of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.An Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/veterans.The actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors.Salary Range: $17 - $20 / Hourly#J-18808-Ljbffr
