The Inventory Specialist is responsible for compliant receipt and transfer of cannabis product in and out of their assigned vault, and assists with our internal audit process by tracking, investigating, and resolving variances.Responsibilities & DutiesExecute the receipt and transfer of cannabis product in and out of vault and/or facilityProcess transactions accurately and efficiently using a computerized systemComplete required data entry (logging transactions, transfers, and daily intake/outgoing product) using Excel and state electronic recordkeeping systems to maintain complianceExecute package conversions (splits) to support allocation plans as needed.Perform order fulfillmentPerform regular cycle counts, internal audits, and reconciliation processes.Maintain accurate inventories, manifests, documentation, and reports.Maintain accurate labeling of all items, SRPs, and batches.Compliant with Company SOPs and state regulationsMaintain a clean and safe work areaFollow applicable safety procedures by wearing appropriate PPE, and reporting injuries, near misses, and hazards to managementBehave in a manner that is positive, productive, cooperative, and encourages teamworkPerform other duties as assignedQualifications & ExperienceMust be at least 21 years of age.High school diploma or GED required.Experience in an inventory or compliance role required; cannabis industry experience preferred.Must have reliable transportation.Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with state regulations.CompetenciesAttendance & PunctualityDependability & FlexibilityPositive, Productive, Cooperative, and Encourages TeamworkInterpersonal CommunicationResults FocusedPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periods of time (8+ hours)Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, and crouchAbility to lift and carry up to 50lbs.Ability to push/pull carts up to 100 – 200lbsAbility to use a step ladder.Manual dexterity is needed for manipulating hand tools.Visual acuity is needed to accurately read small screens and labels.Workplace EnvironmentWarehouse/production facility environment with environmental controlsConsistent moderate background noise level due to machinery and HVACGenerally working in confined vault space without natural lightExposure to keef/dust and cannabis odorExposure to skin contact with plants, to which some individuals may be allergic (PPE provided)NoteThis job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position and does not encompass every task or responsibility that may be required.Pay RangePay Range: $18.00 - $24.86Insa is an E-Verify participant.
