Description
We are looking for skilled and EXPERIENCEDPREP COOKS to join the Jake's Del Mar team! The starting rate is $20-$23/hr (experienced candidates may be considered for higher starting wage). We are especially looking for candidates with evening and weekend availability. Must be available to work holidays. Other scheduling availability is subject to review upon application. BENEFITS

HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Provide the highest level of service for our guests. Prepare food items to be cooked. Maintains sanitation and cleanliness of work areas. Essential Job Functions include the following:
Cut foods as specified by recipe.
Read and understand recipes and POS generated tickets.
Pre-weigh, measure, and package foods according to recipe specifications for later use by line cooks.
Prepare dough's, batters, sauces, and mixes according to recipes for later cooking.
Bake or cook certain food items according to recipes for later use by Line Cooks.
Follow T S protocol for all noted guest allergies.
Remove floor mats, sweep, scrub, and mop floor; wash mats and replace on cleaned floor.
Sanitize prep area and line trash cans
Take out trash and reline cans as needed throughout shift.
Assist others as needed.
Must be dependable, report to work as scheduled and on time, and follow all policies regarding scheduling and attendance. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns; personal, employee or guest injury.
Follow food safety program guidelines of handwashing, bare hands, hygiene and health.
YOUR ROLE ON OUR TEAM
The role of PREP COOK is essential to the success of our restaurant. We rely on these individuals to prepare quality food to be cooked and shared with our guests and employees. We are looking for PREP COOKS that share our values of continuous improvement, pride in our employees, serving our communities, 'ohana, and most of all FUN. PREFERRED / REQUIRED SKILLS:
California Food Handler Certificate - Must be obtained within 30 days from hire date. Training provided if applicant does not have a valid California Food Handler Certificate.
5+ years external prep/line cook experience preferred.
US Work Authorization required. We use E-Verify to confirm Employment Eligibility Verification.
Reliable transportation required.
Knives will be provided but individuals may use their own set.
