    Title: Journeyman Electrician

    Reports to: Facilities Supervisor

    Location: Holland, MI

    Summary:

    Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical equipment to ensure continuous production, execute regular preventive maintenance plan (TPM) and modify equipment as needed. This position is focused on PLC controls-related work and will be involved with mechanical or electrical work as needed and as qualified.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead repair and maintenance for various HVAC systems and equipment, including Chillers, Boilers, and AHUs

    • Perform technical and electrical work to troubleshoot, repair, and modify equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs)

    • Maintain proficiency with the Building Management System (BMS) and recommend upgrades for efficient operations

    • Strategize equipment optimization based on building characteristics

    • Provide coaching, training, and direction to maintenance staff

    • Responsible for maintaining utility equipment, HVAC systems, and process supporting equipment

    • Regularly inspect equipment for normal operation

    • Complete additional projects as assigned, such as wiring new sensors, procuring materials, and sizing wire

    • Coordinate maintenance with external sources for complex issues

    • Track and document repairs, manage vendor relations, and order parts/tools/materials

    • Facilitate inventory management and perform preventative maintenance

    • Ensure a safe work environment and monitor data from measuring devices

    • Support Energy Engineering Department projects and assist with equipment programming

    • Handle warranty work by contacting manufacturers

    • Perform physical tasks, including lifting, climbing ladders, and assembling large and small part assemblies/components, and provide backup support for other technicians when required

    • Maintain cleanliness at the work-site according to standards

    • Follow LGESMI existing cleaning SOP's during downtime (e.g. line stop, waiting time, etc.), which includes cleaning your designated machine and/or surrounding work area

    • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:

    • Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain

    • Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container

    • Follow LGESMI existing cleaning SOP's during downtime (e.g. line stop, waiting time, etc.), which includes cleaning your designated machine and/or surrounding work area

    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED required; Vocational Certificate or Associates Degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience

    • Journeyman license preferred

    Experience:

    • Pneumatic and hydraulics experience

    • 3 to 5+ years of experience preferred

    • Manufacturing experience preferred
