My client in Taylor, Tx is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Journeyman Electrician to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and infrastructure within a state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring maximum equipment uptime, supporting critical facility operations, and maintaining compliance with all electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working in industrial, manufacturing, semiconductor, or mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, equipment, and controls.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical distribution systems, motor control centers, electrical panels, transformers, and related infrastructure.
Diagnose and resolve electrical failures to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Support commissioning and startup activities for new electrical equipment and facility expansions.
Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC), company standards, and applicable safety procedures.
Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), energized work assessments, and other electrical safety protocols.
Utilize CMMS systems to document maintenance activities, work orders, equipment history, and inventory transactions.
Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and operations teams to support facility projects and maintenance initiatives.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on reliability, efficiency, and safety.
Required Qualifications
Active Texas Journeyman Electrician License (TDLR).
High School Diploma or GED.
3+ years of industrial, manufacturing, semiconductor, commercial, or facilities electrical experience.
Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Experience troubleshooting electrical systems ranging from low-voltage controls to medium-voltage distribution.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
Experience with PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, relay logic, and electrical distribution systems.
Commitment to workplace safety and electrical best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Semiconductor manufacturing experience.
Cleanroom, data center, or mission-critical facility experience.
Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology or Industrial Maintenance.
Experience with CMMS systems such as SAP, Maximo, or similar platforms.
Medium-voltage switching and commissioning experience.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

Day Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
A: Sun-Tue + alternating Wed
C: Thu-Sat + alternating Wed
Night Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
B: Sun-Tue + alternating Sat
D: Wed-Fri + alternating Sat
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work in industrial environments for extended periods.
Ability to work in cleanroom and manufacturing settings.
Ability to wear required PPE and electrical safety equipment.
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
