Job Title: Journeyman ElectricianJob DescriptionThe Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems on commercial construction projects. This position requires performing electrical work in accordance with project specifications, National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements, and jobsite safety standards. The Journeyman Electrician will work independently and alongside apprentices, foremen, and project teams to complete projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems on commercial construction projects.
- Perform electrical work in accordance with project specifications and NEC requirements.
- Ensure jobsite safety and compliance with OSHA standards.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics for project execution.
- Bend and install conduit (EMT, RMC, PVC).
- Pull wires and perform terminations.
- Install conduit, cable tray, lighting systems, panels, and switchgear.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and identify deficiencies.
Essential Skills- Minimum 4 years of commercial construction electrical experience.
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and NEC code compliance.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications.
- Experience with conduit bending and installation, cable pulling, and panel installations.
- Proficiency using electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Licensed Journeyman Electrician.
- Experience in industrial and commercial electrical installation.
