    Job Description

    Junior Varsity Girls Soccer Head Coach

    Cristo Rey Orlando High School is seeking a mission-driven Junior Varsity Girls Soccer Head Coach who plays a vital role in shaping student-athletes as leaders on and off the field. As this is the school's founding year for athletics, the coach willalso have the unique opportunity to build and establish the soccer program from its beginning. The coach will focus on player development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fostering a culture that reflects the school's Catholic values and mission.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Leading all aspects of the JV soccer program, including practices, games, and conditioning.
    • Teaching fundamentals of soccer, teamwork, and leadership in alignment with the mission of Cristo Rey Orlando.
    • Promoting good sportsmanship, discipline, and respect among athletes.
    • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all student-athletes at practices and games.
    • Collaborating with the Athletic Director to establish program structure, traditions, and goals in this founding year.
    • Coordinating with the Athletic Director regarding scheduling, uniforms, transportation, and facilities.
    • Communicating consistently with players, families, and school staff.
    • Supporting the development of players to be ready for varsity competition.

    Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by the Athletic Director.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Prior coaching and/or competitive playing experience in soccer.
    • Demonstrated ability to teach, motivate, and mentor high school athletes.
    • Commitment to the mission, values, and Catholic identity of Cristo Rey Orlando.
    • Ability to work evenings and weekends during the season.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.

    Preferred Experience and Skills:

    • Previous high school or club coaching experience.
    • Knowledge of FHSAA rules and regulations.
    • CPR/First Aid certification.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

    This is a seasonal, part-time position. Compensation is provided as a seasonal stipend of up to $3,000, commensurate with experience. The stipend will be distributed in equal installments according to the organization's payroll schedule.

    This position is not eligible for health or other comprehensive benefits; however, employees are eligible to participate in the organization's 403(b) retirement plan in accordance with plan guidelines.
