Cashier/Kitchen Assistant

Effective immediately the Child Nutrition Office will accept applications for the Cashier/Kitchen Assistant position. The salary range for this position is $19.24 - $22.03/hr. based on the 2026-2027 salary schedule between ISD #197 and SEIU Local #284. Location: Two Rivers High School Hours: 10:15 AM - 2:00 PM (3.75 hours per day) Student Contact Days

Job Summary:

• Assist in forecasting daily meal needs and may request products accordingly from the Production kitchen.
• Assist in forecasting daily meal needs and communicate accordingly with the person in charge.
• Assist with preparing and serving meals for students, staff and special functions.
• Effectively operates the Point of Sale System, handles money, and prepares bank deposits.
• Ensures that each reimbursable meal sold meets USDA requirements.
• Performs a variety of kitchen cleaning duties.
• Assist with setting up serving lines and serves meals according to meal patterns.
• Projects a positive & professional image of themselves, their school and the Child Nutrition Program to all customers, staff and parents.

Qualifications:

• Must have the ability to work as a team member willing to perform any duties assigned to make the department run smoothly, and may be requested to work at other locations within the District.
• High School Degree or equivalent
• Ability to project a positive, professional image
• Ability to work as a team
• Willingness to perform duties as assigned
