About the Role

A bakery franchise company headquartered in Fort Lee, NJ is hiring a Senior Bakery Training Specialist. This role leads pre-opening training for new franchise stores, covering product preparation, quality control, and store operations to ensure a successful launch. You will also deliver foundational training for internal employees, manage training center operations, and develop training curricula and materials. The position combines hands-on bakery expertise with training delivery and program development.



Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Training Delivery

  • Deliver comprehensive pre-opening training for new franchise store owners and employees, covering product preparation, quality control, and store operations.
  • Train store teams on product sales, customer service, and both manual and new products.
  • Provide instruction on hygiene, frozen dough management, and store quality control.
  • Train on the proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment.

Training Center Operations

  • Establish and manage training schedules and operational plans.
  • Ensure industrial safety and food safety compliance at the training center.
  • Manage training center expenses, inventory, procurement, and purchase orders.

Curriculum & Documentation

  • Develop and update training curricula, manuals, presentations, and guidelines.
  • Prepare and manage training documents and reports.
  • Conduct post-training evaluations (surveys, feedback) and analyze training effectiveness.
  • Plan, design, and continuously improve training programs.

Product R&D & Equipment

  • Provide product training for new products.
  • Conduct foundational training for new internal employees.
  • Develop and test new equipment and small tools.

Required Qualifications

  • Prior bakery experience.
  • Knowledge of baking multiple types of bread, and baking and decorating cakes.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree, or equivalent years of work experience.
  • 1-2 years of combined experience with food or ingredients and manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of GMP and HACCP.
  • Basic understanding of food production fundamentals.
  • Korean/English bilingual.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong verbal and written communication, including the ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to read and interpret procedure manuals and regulatory documents.
  • Ability to present information and respond to management-level questions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping skills, able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Research and development (R&D) experience in the bakery industry.
